The film I already own a hard-copy of which I paid for, but I just want to have a copy of it on my PC (hence the Youtube download). So if I bought the film perfectly legally, but download it off Youtube, then store it online in something like ADrive, is that illegal? The film is only for personal use and will not be shared at all.|||You are worrying about nothing man. And even if it were this really big illegal thing, posting a question here is sort of like robbing a bank and then walking into a police station holding the loot.
Don't worry about it.|||Yes it is illegal to download video from youtube. if they did not have any problem by user's downloading videos, they would have provided a download button out there ..
Youtube earns money each time you watch videos from website .. but that is not case when you copy it to hard drive and watch from it.
but even if you download it .. no one is going to track you ;)|||I don't believe its illegal, if it is its unfair|||Why online storage? just burn it to a dvd.
