How to take a silhouette picture using a film camera?
How do you take a silhouette picture without using a meter, just a film camera, like a 35mm SLR camera? Do you just take the reading off of the background then bring the subject in and take the picture?|||Yes, you have answered your own question correctly.|||Jenny, as with most things, film or digital, the method for exposure is the same. Your sihouetted subject needs to be a couple stops darker than your background and then, like you said, just expose for the background instead of the subject.
