I have to convert a film script to television in about a week.|||If you are converting a script for an existing TV show it is very important for you to get a sample of one of the show's current scripts and, or their 'Bible' which is a guideline for how to write for the show. If there are no such things then I will just make these suggestions: A film format is typically (but not always) 120 pages which translates to 90 minutes of running time. A TV script's length also has 1 minute = 1 page but the order and structure is different due to TV commercial breaks. There is usually a suspenseful moment just before the TV breaks to get the audience to come back to the show. There's also often a 'teaser' before the start of the show which introduces the show and gets people to stick around to watch past the openning credits.
So unless you know the commercial breaks (which changes from season to season and depends on the exact show) you would just be guessing on how to structure the thing. But if this is just a script you're writing on spec without being asked to and there is no existing TV show, you can wing it. But a good book for you to get would be "The Complete Book of Scriptwriting" by J. Michael Stracynski. I have a huge library of film related books and by far this is one of the best when it comes to writing. Just focus on the part about TV in that book.
If you are writing this script for someone in particular, be sure to ask them as many questions as you have ASAP.
