How much control does the UK Film council have on the making of the films they fund?

So basically does the UK Film council control what goes into the film and what message is given out? Any help would be appreciated.|||I would think, alot. Because without the money, the movie wouldn't be possible. Unless there is a contract saying otherwise. They will have a contract for sure.

The most power is with the producer and director. I don't think the funding people interfere with the movie. All they want to see is the $$$ afterwards, that's why they provided the funding.

But they may strongly suggest the stars?
